International Students Admissions in Thammasat Business School

I. Undergraduate program:

1. How many majors are there?

There are 3 majors in BBA program as followings: Marketing, Finance and Accounting.

2. What are admissions requirements?

There are 2 ways to get admissions to study at BBA program as follows:

Option 1: Normal way

In order to study at BBA program, applicant must provide these documents as follows:

a. Applicants must have or expect to receive a high school certificate and transcript, or an equivalent from an educational institution in Thailand or a foreign country.

b. Applicants must have satisfactory SAT test scores AND/OR GSAT test scores with 1200 AND

c. English proficiency test scores TOEFL with 80 for internet-based or IELTS with 6.0 (at least 5.5 in each individual section) or TU-GET with 550 AND

d. Essay on unannounced topic and interview with our committee.

 

Option 2: Another way

a. Applicants must have or expect to receive a high school certificate and transcript, or an equivalent from an educational institution in Thailand or a foreign country.

b. English proficiency test scores TOEFL with 80 for internet-based or IELTS with 6.0 (at least 5.5 in each individual section) or TU-GET with 550 AND

 

c. We will administer the TBS Admissions Exam, which is same structure with SAT exam, at one or two places in ASEAN countries such as Vietnam, Cambodia, etc. For those who met the requirements (a) and (b) can register and take TBS Admissions Exam with us.

d. For those who passed the exam, applicants will have the interview with our committee. If applicants can passed the interview, you will get the admission from us.

3. What is the tuition fee?

 Regular semester: 119,900 Baht (Approx. USD$ 3.747)

Summer semester: 37,500 Baht (Approx. USD$ 1.712)

Whole program fees (4 years) approx.: 959,200 Baht (Approx. USD$ 29.975)

With USD$1 = 32 Baht

 

5. Do you offer scholarship for international students?

Yes, we do. There are 2 ways to get scholarship from us as follows:

a. Normal way: Students can apply directly to BBA program with the requirements listed above. If you have good score of SAT/GSAT, English proficiency and excellent performance in the interview round with our committee, you will have a chance to get scholarship. It will be decided by the committee.

 

b. Another way: Every year, we offer some scholarships to excellent students who have good academic result, good score at TBS Admissions Exam and excellent performance of interview with our committees. 6. Is there any exchange program?

Yes, there are. TBS pioneered an exchange program whereby students could enroll in world-class universities around the world and earn credits back home since 1990. We have more than 92 partner universities until now such as UC systemwide and PIM networks, Tshinghua University, University of Richmond, University of Southern California, University of Western Ontario and Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU), etc.

 

7. Is there any international students on the campus?

Yes, apart from full time students from some countries such as Nepal, Bhutan, Cambodia, Vietnam, etc. we welcome approximately 120 incoming exchange students each year. Therefore, our class body is so international with around 60% of international students in the class.

 

8. Is the course offered in English?

Yes, all subjects are conducted in English by well-respected faculties and industry experts and practitioners.

 

 9. Is there any opportunity of doing internship?

Yes, all of students will have a chance to do internship with leading international organizations in Bangkok such as L’Oreal, Delloitte, PWC, KPMG, Ernst & Young, etc.

II. Graduate programs:

1. How many graduate programs are there in Thammasat Business School?

There are 2 programs followings: MIF (Master in Finance) and GEMBA (Global Executive MBA).

2. What are admissions requirements for GEMBA program?

In order to study at GEMBA program, applicant must provide these documents as follows:

a. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (in any fields) from an accredited institution, from Thailand or overseas with 3 years working experience.

b. A submission of an English test (as specified by the University), taken not more than 2 years until the last date of the admission. (TU-GET Score of at least 550, or TOEFL score of at least 550 for Paper-based, or at least 213 for Computer-based, or at least 79 for Internet-based, or IELTS score of at least 6.5). Students who are native English speakers will be exempted in this case.

 

c. If candidates do not have the score of an English test as specified above, and they have the score of TU-GET at least 400, or TOEFL Paper-based at least 400/Computer-based at least 97/Internet-based at least 32, or IELTS at least 4.5, candidates must have a GPA of a bachelor’s degree of at least 3.00 or they must either have a research publication or executive experience. Please note that candidates must take the English test with the score of not more than 2 years until the last date of the admission. In this case, the program may accept the candidates and the candidates must submit the English score as required by the University before the examination of the Independent Study. If not, candidates will be automatically dismissed from the program.

d. A submission of a statement of purpose and/or a discussion of relevant job/business experience related to the program of not more than one page.

e. Pass English Interview Test by the committee appointed by the University.  Those who are based in overseas may be exempted from the interview in Thailand and the program committee will consider an alternate process case by case.

 

3. What is the tuition fee?

 

Baht 704,000 (appox. USD$ 22.000) (International students) covering instruction, teaching materials and most meals during classes.

Flights, local traveling expenses, and accommodation are not included in the tuition fees above. This additional cost, which will be fully responsible by the applicant, is approximately Baht 300,000

 

5. Do you offer scholarship for international students?

Yes, we do offer scholarships for excellent students who have excellent result in academic and performance in the interview with our committee.
